Hermes Luc (he/him) is a Swiss-born jazz pianist, composer, and educator currently based in New York City. Rooted in over a decade of classical training, Hermes’s artistic journey transformed in his late teens when he found a passion for jazz. He cultivated his voice through formal studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Piano from the Lucerne University of Arts, with an enriching exchange semester at the Siena Jazz University in Italy. Now pursuing a Master of Music Performer-Composer at The New School, Hermes continues to challenge himself alongside some of the world’s most ambitious musicians.

His contributions extend to education, where he has taught students of all ages both privately and at the Lenzburg Music School, and volunteered extensively at the jazz club Musig im Pflegidach Muri. Hermes’s artistry and dedication have earned recognition in the Friedl Wald Foundation Jazz Competition and the Yamaha Piano Competition. His process is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and an ethos that bridges tradition and contemporary creativity.
